Coffee & Cream Revisited

by Janice Willson

Most love their morning coffee and these photos are an homage to the dark elixir. They were accomplished by dropping cream into coffee and the resulting splashes. In some images, the liquid was dripped so fast that it caused collisions between the falling drops and the bounce back liquid making some interesting sculptures in cream. The foam on the surface of the coffee was made by the agitation of the surface of the coffee by the falling cream, if you look closely you can see that the two different fluids are beginning to mix.
